When it comes to moving, it’s often best to be prepared to spend a night without your things, so that you have the leeway of having a day off before you need to unpack your entire life. Especially for those who have to work full-time, the ability to delay unpacking can be a godsend. In order to be able to do so, you’ll need to pack an overnight bag in preparation. Overnight bags are a selection of belongings that you can use to last a few days.
Here, we’ll cover some things you should include in your overnight bag.
Grab some PJs
Easy enough. Having a pair of comfy clothes is useful in helping you get a good night’s sleep after moving day. Depending on where you live or the season, you’ll want to get appropriate clothing for the weather: short sleeves for when it’s warm, long sleeves when it’s cold.
How did we ever live without our devices? In your overnight bag, throw in your everyday devices, such as your tablet or laptop so that you can still get your everyday stuff done even when your house is still in boxes. Be sure to keep your charger handy as well.
Bathroom and beauty supplies
Obviously, you should keep a toothbrush handy. But you should also keep your beauty supplies around if you know you are going to be working or out and about the next few days. Pack a comb, perhaps your haircare supplies, makeup, and shower supplies so that even when your house is unpacked, you’re still ready for the world.
